How to unblock popups from websites

Be aware that many web-users have two blockers enabled if toolbars have been added. Examples would be Internet Explorer and the Yahoo toolbar. Both would need to be modified in this case if both are enabled.


Web browsers - PC Users

Internet Explorer 6.0/7.0 on operating system Windows XP SP2/Vista

  1. From Tools point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click on Pop-up Blocker Settings
  2. Type www.tg2web.com and www.thegathering.com in the box 'Address of Web site to allow' and click Add
  3. Click Close
  4. Click here to return to The Gathering

Firefox 1.0.x

  1. From Tools select Options
  2. Select the Web Features icon
  3. Ensure Block Pop-up Windows is not checked
  4. Click OK
  5. Click here to return to The Gathering

Alternatively:

  1. From Tools select Options
  2. Select the Web Features icon
  3. Click Allowed Sites
  4. Type www.tg2web.com and www.thegathering.com into the field
  5. Click Allow
  6. Click OK
  7. Click here to return to The Gathering


Mozilla 1.7.x

  1. From Edit select Preferences
  2. From the left hand side menu, click on + to open Privacy & Security
  3. Under Pop-up Windows, tick the check box for 'Block unrequested pop up windows
  4. Then select Allowed Sites
  5. Type www.tg2web.com and www.thegathering.com in the box 'Allow pop-ups from the following web sites' and click Add Click OK
  6. Click OK
  7. Click here to return to The Gathering

Netscape 7.x

  1. From Edit select Preferences
  2. From the left hand side menu, click on + to open Privacy & Security
  3. Under Pop-up Windows, ensure the 'Suppress pop-ups' radio button is selected
  4. Then select Exceptions
  5. Type www.tg2web.com and www.thegathering.com into the field and click Add
  6. Click OK
  7. Click here to return to The Gathering

Web browsers - Mac Users

Mozilla 1.7.x

  1. From Mozilla select Preferences
  2. From the left hand side menu click on + to open Privacy & Security
  3. Under Pop-up Windows, tick the check box for 'Block unrequested pop-up windows
  4. Then select Allowed Sites
  5. Type www.tg2web.com and www.thegathering.com in the box 'Allow pop-ups from the following web sites' and click Add
  6. Click OK
  7. Click here to return to The Gathering

  2. From the left hand side menu, click on + to open Privacy & Security

  6. Click OK

Safari
Shortcut to disable the blocker: Press SHIFT+applekey+K or do the following:

  1. From SAFARI select Preferences
  2. From the top icons bar,select Security
  3. Uncheck the "Block Pop-up Windows" option,
  4. Close the window.
  5. Click here to return to The Gathering

Toolbars

Google Toolbar

Click the pop-up blocker icon from the toolbar. The Icon should change to “Popups okay”

 

Yahoo Toolbar

Click on the Down arrow to the right of the pop-up blocker icon from the toolbar
Choose Always allow pop-ups from this site.

 

MSN Toolbar

Click on the Down arrow to the right of the text “Pop-ups Blocked” to bring up the Menu and click on the Allow Pop-ups from this site then Click OK.

 

AOL Toolbar

To allow Pop-ups to appear, merely click on the icon. You should now see the following:
